i almost laughed, but then im constantly reminded why life ain't a joke.

the five dollars spent now,
will be multiplied by thousands,
think of the donations,
to the lung cancer societies.
trying to find a solution for
a preventable problem.

they tryna find a cure for the disease they smoked in.
it's a drawn out suicide.
we all gonna die, the way is unknown, but why let yourself decide?

so, will you join me later, when my lungs are corrupt?
my body failing, the cancer overcoming me.
will you join me on my death bed?
when i can hardly speak,
barely move, too physically weak.
mentally devoured by the cancer.
begging God for an answer,
to my life which isn't death so soon,
what happened to my life?
it started with one,
went on to another,
i kept going back, soon it developed as a habit.
couldn't live without it.
but now i'm LIVING with it.
could have kicked it.
but my feet never felt strong enough,
to walk away was just too tough,
so i kept giving in.
inhaling in,
now look what i exhaled.
family all around me,
and all i feel is humility.
couldn't they have stopped me?
but it turns into a blame game.
blaming the world, before i mention my own name.

it just comes to me.. so i get it through to you.
